SPARTAN Spartan is a cross between McIntosh and Newtown Pippin. It is a beautiful dark red dessert apple. It is firmer and keeps better than McIntosh. Its aromatic flavor and juicy white flesh are reminiscent of McIntosh. |

AURORA GOLDEN GALA This apple is a mid-season, yellow dessert apple with exceptional texture and keeping quality. The name was chosen in a nationwide internet-based "Name The Apple" contest sponsored by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The fruit flesh is extremely crisp and juicy, firm and sweet. The flavour is light, fresh, and pleasant, with honey and tropical notes. |

COX ORANGE PIPPIN One of the best in quality of the English dessert apples; in season from late September to early winter. The fruit is of medium size or above medium, red and yellow. When highly colored it is attractive, with the red predominant. |

NEWTOWN PIPPIN The fruit is bright green when harvested, mellowing to a light yellow. The flesh is crisp and creamy white, tinged green near the core. The taste is sweet with a balance of tartness. The apple has a pine-like quality and may exhale a tangerine scent. Newtown makes excellent sauces and pies, although slices brown quickly when cut.. |

AMBROSIA Discovered in the late 1980s in Cawston British Colombia, Canada, this apple is a good snacking apple with its crisp texture and juicy aromatic flesh. It is a medium-size apple with red color with some striping on a creamy yellow background, similar to a Gala or Fuji. The Ambrosia apple does not have a long storage life, so it should be used within approximately four months of harvesting. |

PINK LADY The fruit is medium in size and conical in shape with a distinctive pink blush over a yellow back-ground. The fine-grained flesh is crisp and crunchy and does not brown easily after the fruit has been cut. The first bite tastes pleasantly tart followed by a delicious sweetness. The fruit ripens in September and is available throughout the fall months. It is a cross of Golden Delicious and Lady Williams which was bred in 1973 by the Agriculture Department of Western Australia. |
