  • Kevin Klippenstein

     Co-Founder/Owner

Kevin is co-owner of Klippers Organic Acres, a working farm, restaurant, cidery, and on farm guest suites. He grew up in the Lower Mainland with a passion for hospitality, and at the age of 26 moved to Cawston with his wife, Annamarie, with the desire to grow healthy, living food for themselves and their customers.

Together they took their original 5 acres and have now expanded to 60 acres of both fruit and vegetables. They added guest suites, a cidery, farm store, and an award winning restaurant.

They were recognized in 2011 as Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers.  Over the last 20 years of building the farm to what it is today Kevin has sat on the board of directors for Vancouver Farmers Markets, Chair of the Organic Farming Institute, Chair of the BC Turkey Marketing Board, on numerous committees and is currently sitting as Chair of the BC Chicken Marketing Board.

He strives to foster innovation daily and is continually working on partnerships with Vancouver chefs, and fostering new relationships and connections with people from all different fields.

  • Annamarie Klippenstein

    Co-founder/Owner

Annamarie is co-owner of Klippers Organic Acres, the 60 acre farm was started in 2001 by herself and her husband, Kevin. Annamarie grew up on a certified organic farm in Chilliwack BC as the third oldest of Hans and Mary Forstbauer’s 12 children. Growing up dyslexic in the 90’s was hard but with the support of her parents she learnt that hard work and determination would prevail, and she graduated in the top of her class.

The same hard work and determination has now been a driving force in the success and expansion of Klippers Organic Acres.  Having grown up on a large family farm she also new the importance of good, healthy food, and having spent a few years in Vancouver working in the hospitality industry decided to move back to the family farm.  It was there that Annamarie and Kevin decided to start a farm of their own and Klippers was conceived. Today Annamarie plans the crops and crop rotations,  and you will find her in the greenhouse, the packing house, the fields or in the restaurant as the GM. Her passion, much like her mothers, is to raise her children in the business: teaching them respect, work ethic, and a deep connection to the land.

Annamarie enjoys sports and spending her spare time coaching community and high school sports teams.

  • Cecile Dechame

    CSA Coordinator

Having grown up in France, Cecile gained an appreciation for fresh produce while accompanying her grandma on weekly trips to the farmers market.

After living in Ireland and Italy, Cecile settled in Vancouver five years ago, and she never left her passion for farmers markets behind. Exploring local markets became a staple in her travels, where she relished meeting locals, immersing herself in the lively ambiance, and savoring the colorful array of produce.

Initially disappointed by the quality and taste of food in Canada compared to Europe, Cecile's luck changed when she stumbled upon Klippers Organics. Their values and commitment to food transparency aligned perfectly with hers.

In 2022, Cecile started volunteering at Klippers' Vancouver Farmers Market booth.

In the summer of 2023, Cecile took a leap and left city life to embrace full-time work on the Klippers farm.

Engaging with market visitors, Cecile enjoys sharing her nutrition knowledge. For her, food is the key to a healthy body and mind. She takes immense pride in contributing to a farm that prioritizes high-quality, nourishing food for families!
